Fundraising

Islander Middle School is able to offer a wide variety of academic and enrichment activities to our families. With the hard work and dedication of countless volunteers, as well as the generosity of our Islander community, our students have opportunities to learn, explore and grow in ways they would not otherwise.

PTSA Suggested Donation – At the start of the school year, all parents are asked to contribute $95 per student or an amount that you choose (through Gator Give) to support the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). These funds are used to provide enrichment such as parapro assistance, learning support, media tech, teacher grants, parent education, as well as other student directed activities. PTSA contributions are tax deductible. By collecting these funds at one time, it allows parent and student time to be focused on classroom and enrichment activities rather than on fundraisers throughout the year.

Corporate Match Program – Many local companies have programs that “match” the charitable contributions made by their employees. A LITTLE of your time can make a BIG difference for IMS! Click on the “Corporate Match Program” tab for more information.

Spiritwear – Spiritwear is a one-time sale at the beginning of each school year.  Items boasting maroon/white/gray and Gator Pride include duffle bags, sweatshirts and other apparel.  Profits from these sales are donated to the PTSA.

Island Books Night – In partnership with Island Books, Mercer Island’s independently-owned bookstore, PTSA volunteers will coordinate a fundraiser for IMS parents and other supporters. 20% of all sales, including toys, housewares and gift card sales are donated to PTA.
