ASB

The Association of the Student Body (ASB) operates under the umbrella the IMS/Mercer Island School District budget. IMS PTSA assists in collecting additional donations, via the PTSA suggested donation, which allows for enrichment and activities beyond what the district would be able to provide.

ASB provides funding for:

• Assemblies
• Enrichment Days
• Mosaics & other projects
• After school clubs: Drama, Art, Chess, Running, Golf, Gators Go Green
• Sports: Volleyball, X-Country, Wrestling, Track
• Buses for Field Trips & Sports Events
• Student Center
• School Socials

Each student is required to join the ASB and pay a fee which is collected at the IMS Back2School Day and is managed by the Mercer Island School District.  In addition, PTSA apportions a budgeted part of the Gator Giving and disburses these monies to the MISD in order to fund ASB activities and programs.
